In today's lab meeting, we'll hear two short talks: Bahar BehrooziWhy we should consider epigenetic as a factor in cultural evolution studies? Ben Enke (Assistant Professor of Economics, Harvard)Agri-Culture, Kinship, and Cooperation"I will talk about how societies have developed different societal structures to solve social dilemma problems. To this end, I combine historical information on the presence of kinship systems with contemporary data on cooperation behavior, cultural values, institutions, as well as linguistic and religious structures. I also discuss the agricultural origins of kinship systems and their relationship to comparative economic development."
