Brett Hathaway

Brett

During my undergraduate degree, I studied the social, cultural, and biological factors that influence cognitive abilities such as attention and emotional learning. After receiving a BA in Psychology, I became interested in the neurobiological mechanisms of cost/benefit decision making, and how this may relate to drug and behavioural addictions. I am continuing this work as a PhD student in Dr. Winstanley's lab at UBC. I currently study the neurocircuitry involved in risky decision making, as well as the biobehavioural consequences of poor diet and exposure to recreational drugs.

After completing his BA in Psychology at UBC, Brett Hathaway is now a Ph.D. Student in Neuroscience at University of British Columbia.
